As I’m sitting here typing this, I thought this assignment would be easy but it’s not. How do you explain who you are in a paper? Where do I begin? Well, for starters, my personality, ambitions, and what I love doing should be the best standard for defining my character. One should never be anxious if they do not know everything about themselves, as we are constantly learning and discovering new features of ourselves. Personally, I am satisfied knowing my friends are worth it and consider me an asset. I’m the shortest one in my group of friends which puts me somewhat the end of the ladder. Someone might judge me just because of the way I look or act but, if they could just get to know me even more and see my personality they can see me in a whole new way.
Summer vacation, and school ends for about three months, and then you have as much fun as you can, then back to school… right? Well I had to go to summer school, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Everything was going fine, I had a job after summer school, and that was going fine as well. They say that summer is supposed to be fun and exciting, and it usually is for me and my family. However in July my father started coughing up blood. My father usually doesn’t make it his top priority to go to the doctors, so he waited about four weeks until he really didn’t feel good.
When I initially began my English 28 class I was not the finest writer. I’m still not perfect, but I have improved a lot. At the very beginning of the semester, I didn’t consider myself a writer. I never enjoyed writing essays because I knew I wasn’t very good at them. I always made multiple errors and would fail to correct them because I wasn’t aware of how to. For example, I didn’t know how to fix a comma splice.
Summary them briefly: “I have a unique combination of strong technical skills, and the ability to build strong customer relationships. This allows me to utilize my skills and break down information to be easier to understand." 8. What Are Three Positive Things Your Last Boss Would Say About You?
I have completed my Master's Degree to help grow my career. I attend classes that are offered by the company to better myself in sales and retention. If I ever have any questions or concerns, I reach out to the dedicated sales person for our Area and get some insight on how best to handle certain situations to gain the prospect as a customer. It is about knowing how to reach the client to gain their trust. My communication style is analytical and amiable.
The strategies I learned this semester were important for improving my academic skills. The first week of class we learned what our learning styles were. I can study more easily and take better notes in class knowing my learning style. I can read and understand college textbooks better. The note-taking skills I learned really helped me to write better notes in class. We learned a few note-taking formats, and the one that I still use is the outline format. I also learned new and better ways to study that helped me to make better grades than I originally would have.
I entered the United States for the first time in 2009. I landed in Houston, Texas and began attending Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. Being my first time in the States, I had never communicated with people whose first language is English. This was challenging at first, but once I got to know my teammates and the coach, we all accommodated to meet the five C’s of communication. The level of need I experienced was predicament because it was difficult communicating in English while making sure people understand me. According to Therapeutic Communications for Health Care, predicament is defined as “no easy solution.” The person in need “often feels trapped; is not helped by advice” (Tamparo & Lindh, 2008). When I began my journey with the Cross Country team at Lamar, they were all understanding and supporting of me since I was learning the language. They were patient by listening and respecting everyone’s decisions even when they were expressed differently. Many times our body language said more than our verbal communication; I learned how to listen to others by observing rather than by listening. However, in my experience, I felt trapped many times when I wanted to communicate about something and I did not know how to express myself.

There is a point in everyone’s life when they step back and realize “I can’t do this anymore, it’s ruining my life”. Many of my friends have started smoking cigarettes while drinking at a very young age, and continue to use this drug currently and don’t realize the affect it has on their future. While I have been smart enough to avoid smoking, I haven’t been as wise at making decisions when it comes to drinking. The amount of partying I’ve done in college has taken over my life, and has had a huge impact on my grades. Changing my drinking habits and continuing to avoid cigarettes will enable me to be the best I can be for the rest of my college experience.
The stories from my childhood, the ones that make me what I am today, that replay in back of my head daily, that my dad is proud of me for today, to follow me for my entire life, those stories are of my difference. The stories that shape me into who I am today, it's not like I can ever forget them and they are glued to me. Those stories are of the difference that won’t ever leave my side.
Throughout my life, many factors have influenced and shaped me into the young woman I am today. I am an active member of many cultures, and continue to learn and adopt numerous values, traditions, and morals from each. There are certain cultures people are born into, and others that are chosen by people at various stages of their life. Over the span of my nineteen years of life, I have been put into as well as voluntarily joined a combination of cultures which have instilled in me both positive and negative qualities. Cultures I was born into include the female culture, the Caucasian American culture, and my unique family culture. As for those which I have elected to become a member of include things such as the soccer culture, the Concordia
