The definition of Christianity is “Christian beliefs or practices; Christian quality or character.” Eighty-three percent of Americans identify themselves as a Christian. Not every person that identifies themselves as a Christian truly lives it out (2 Timothy 3:5). ”The word Christian means “Christ-like.” In order to be “Christ-like,” you have to know what Christ is like. You cannot be like someone that you know nothing about. You cannot be Christ-like unless you understand his deity and his nature.
Part of a person’s deity is their nature. Jesus’s nature is rooted in love. He was born, crucified, and resurrected because of it (John 3:16). When God created man, he had every intention for a real relationship. God could have easily started over …show more content…

As a teen leader I sometimes struggle with insecurity, but I know now that when I am doing what I am supposed to that God will lead me along the right path. This teaches me to not be insecure and not worry about whether I am doing enough. I have learned to put my confidence in God. His love for the world is extraordinary. The world is full of sin and yet he can still love. This shows me that even when people hurt me or do something mean to me, I can still love them. God loves us and wants nothing more than to have a relationship with us. He shows me how to forgive and love people anyways.If the church would grasp God’s love, then there would not be so much drama. People need to learn to let things go and forgive because in the end it will hold them back. The church would be able to reach out to the broken world and minister like never before if they would just learn to forgive. As the church we need to put our eyes back on God and let him lead us as he has before.
We will never be able to fully understand Jesus (John 21:25). When you study his deity, you will have a better understanding about who he is, and be more open to a revelation about the life he lived and the impact it has on people today. Learning more about Jesus will help you grow as a Christian by helping you understand what it means to be “Christ-like.”When you truly fall in love with him and begin to understand everything he stood for it gives us hope for tomorrow, inspiration
