In the New Testament salvation Christ brings order to the world by initiating the reign of God on earth. Jesus unveils the Father and follows through with God’s plan. The four Gospels are the prime teachings in Scripture. They include the foundation of our faith. The Gospels deliver the bodywork for the Church.
Jesus came down to Earth from heaven even though he did not have to and died for every single person’s sins. The Gospel deepens our Christian faith and life in numerous ways. The Gospel offers instruction on how to live righteously, guides us to who we are destined to be, gives us teaching on how we can share Christ with others, and teaches us to pray and grow our relationship with Christ. In NT Wrights explanation of what is the Gospel, he explains that the world and culture is constantly changing. He is saying in order to understand the truths of the world; we must personally go seek for them.
And his grace and kindness is given to us in Jesus his divine Son. Jesus is God great gift to humanity (John 3:16), who brings us to God through his death on the cross for us and his resurrection. Our change in status from being God’s bitter enemy to being God’s friend comes simply through believing in Jesus (Romans 3:22-24). Being a Christian means we can rest from striving to win God’s approval because Jesus has done it for us! C. Thirdly, having this new relationship with God, a Christian has a new life.
This shows to us as Christians that to be a good disciple you must have faith. Another illustration of the importance of faith comes in the story of the epileptic boy 9: 23-24 where Jesus says to the boy's father "…Everything is possible for the person who has faith..." This suggests that if faith is complete in a person then they can achieve anything. Another point about discipleship that we are taught in Mark's gospel is service. This means that disciples of Jesus should give up their time to help and serve others. We see the value of service to discipleship in the gospel when Jesus replies to the request of James and John 10: 43-44.
However, there is hope for Christians in the unique story of God 's work for the redemption of the world and the promise of Christ 's return. Because of this the church is a call to action to radically live the story of God in a community bound to the absolute truth of God and fearless proclaiming that truth in the
The book of god revealed to the Christians was the Bible. This book is here to show the way of life of a devout human being. In the bible are guidelines to how one should live and spend their time in life. The bible talks about all the evils of man, and this fake illusion like world. It warns man of the punishments that are to come if man does not follow the way of god, and also assures great reward if one does follow and believe.
Jesus Christ is the incarnation of the entire divine logos, and the purpose of Christ coming to the world was to teach men the truth and save them from the power of demons. Justin demonstrates through his works that Jesus is both the messiah, stated by the Old Testament, and he the preexisting logos, regarding Him as incarnation of Logos, and or “in second place” to God. He illustrates the divine of creation and salvation, which is fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Logos is the eternal Word, eternal reason, and creative reason. The ideas of Martyr are important to study and understand because his ideas impacted the church because they show the origin of Christianity beliefs and customs, and understanding Jesus Christ, the logos, second to God.
The kingdom lifestyle described in the Beatitudes requires a spirit of submission unto God. Jesus is teaching this understanding to identify the emptiness a person must have to be filled and made whole. Afterward, a person can begin to be a witness of the salt and light, which is Jesus Christ. The Gospel of John records Jesus Christ saying “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life (Jn. 8:32, NASB).
Jesus came to serve a people considerably inferior to Himself as a light to dispel darkness. The Bible tells us that we do not have to live as slaves but as sons of God and heirs to the Father's kingdom. This simply means that despite our undeserving we may turn... ... middle of paper ... ...liever now has assurance that his every sin will be forgiven dependent not on the sacrifice of an animal but on sincere repentance. God loves His people and has provided them with a way by which they can be cleansed and sanctified, making them acceptable to him. The new covenant, therefore, leads to a desire to do what is right.
We are to glorify God with our bodies as emphasized in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. We should employ the technology God has allowed us to preserve and honor life as much as possible. However, rather than simply honoring life, our end-of-life decisions must honor God. Life is an eternal relationship with God who created us for Himself and for His glory. For this reason, there has to be an appropriate time to cease fighting death and simply go to rest in Jesus.
