Jesus Is Worth Getting To Know You Essay

To me, Jesus is a person worth getting to know. I do not have much knowledge about Jesus Christ. I did not grow up in a religious setting and never got the chance to learn about him. I do have interest in growing my faith and learning more about Jesus Christ. This is the main reason that I chose to pursue an education at Fresno Pacific. From my limited knowledge about Jesus, I see him as a symbol of hope. Knowing that he died on the cross for us gives me hope. I feel like if someone cared enough for us then, we should respect him. I think that the best way to respect him is to live the way that he would want us to. People that worship Jesus mostly have good morals, values, and live to save others. This gives me hope that humanity will stay kind. There is a lot of bad in the world and we need to come together. Many people that worship Jesus are the people (aka hope) that unites everyone in hardships. In times of worship and prayer, everyone - friend or foe, puts their differences aside for a common ground, Jesus.

For example, when you see someone getting bullied, the “right” thing to do would be to speak up. The “wrong” thing to do would be to join in. I consider this to be a way of accepting Jesus. I think that Jesus would want you to make good decisions that are selfless. This is something that I look for when choosing the people that I spent a lot of time with. I want friends that believe mostly the same as me. I want my friend group to help each other grow in as many ways possible. I think that having someone like Jesus to look for guidance is a great way to grow in relationships, work, or just as a person in
