The fact that the Bible has stood the test of time and has not been destroyed, even though there have been several attempts made over the years, is a testament of the enduring power of God’s Holy Word. A common theme consistent throughout the Bible from Genesis through Revelation is what God has planned for His people and His cosmic kingdom. The story told in the Bible is God’s instruction book or user manual for his greatest creation (human life). This instruction manual is to portray of how humans can operate and live happily in this life with both their creator and their fellow human beings. God not only created the Earth and the heavens, the fish and the birds, the water and the wind, but He created every person who has ever lived. “For He chose us {actually picked us out for Himself as His own} in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love. He predestined us {destined us, planned in love for us} for adoption {revealed} to sonship {His own children} through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will (Ephesians 1:4-5).” God created the world in 6 days. He simply spoke His Word, and everything became existent. God then created man and woman in Adam and Eve, and then they were put in charge of all of His other creations. The story of Adam and Eve provides the basis for the belief that humanity is in essence of a single family, with everyone descended from a single pair of original ancestors. The belief of Adam and Eve was for human beings to live in a paradise on earth, although they fell away from the God’s guidance and formed the present world full of suffering and injustice (Wikipedia). Adam and Eve were instructed not to eat the fruit, as it would cause death. However, they eventually succumbed to temptation from Satan, and fell into sin and shame. Due to Adam and Eve’s sin, God must bring them consequences, but not without a promise of salvation. First, they were banned from the Garden of Eden and exiled.
