As a child, I was raised to know there is a God. Any problems in your life can be solved by praying to "our father '. The Bible to me is a guide through life as a cheat sheet is helpful to a test. In life, you will overcome multiple obstacles and also tests. The only way I know how to get through the laborious times in life is to reach out to God. To me, the Bible is a hands on learning experience about how to get through life itself The Bible teaches you how to get through every season in your life. The cause of your depression can be caused by death of someone you loved or you can 't pay your bills on time. "Deuteronomy 31:8" says "The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." That scripture is basically saying God will never put you through something he know you couldn 't fight through. The Bible to me is to help you through things like depression. At the age of 14, I lost my second mother, my auntie Anitra to suicide. I can really say that it was most difficult time of my life. I wanted to talk to her one last time. The only way I knew how to do that was to talk to her through God. In Revelation 21:4, "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." I am a true believer in "God does everything for a reason. " It was just her time to go home. Losing a loved one would cause anyone to mourn all day, but is it going to bring that person back?
