They were also the #1 method of death by homicide (66.6% of all homicides) and by suicide (52.2% of all suicides)”. Many people have died over the past years because of guns. It is in the top 15 of things that caused all of the deaths between 1999 and 2013. Many result to guns than a more peaceful way to situations. Guns promote people to act on violent impulses. Guns affect people’s actions. With guns, it isn’t safe. The causing of so much death are guns. A lot of people are victims of gun violence and the right of having guns. According to Trymaine Lee/On the Beat of Black Lives and Bloodshed he said, “Years ago, in Philadelphia, I met a 19-year-old named Kevin Johnson who weeks earlier had been paralyzed by a bullet to his spine.” Someone was hurt by a gun and was drastically affected. The person was paralyzed and it wasn’t his fault. People are victims. It’s bad how this could happen in the U.S. Gun violence hurts everyone and if gun control isn’t placed then everything will go crazy and the U.S would be chaotic. More people would be paralyzed in certain spots from the violence that guns bring. This point of view seems convincing at first but however, what this argument fails to consider is the overall view of guns. Although the core of this argument seems valid, it has a mistake in its logic of gun violence. While ProCon.org’s claim seem right that is a very low percentage of deaths by guns. The must be wrong because if it was number 1 then it would a be a much higher percentage rate. That indicates that gun violence isn’t the problem. It was in the top 15 but how about the other 14 leading causes of death? I bet they are much worse. It is a high percentage of suicides

The Second Amendment to the Constitution states that, “A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” This amendment has been around since 1791, and there has been gun control almost as long as it's been around. The National Rifle Association is an advocate of the Second Amendment and an opponent of those who propose restrictions on guns. Even Presidents Reagan and Bush are members, and Nixon, Eisenhower, and Kennedy were also members. Why do people feel the need to own a handgun? One reason is heritage. For as long as this country has been around, there have been gun owners, to defend themselves and to hunt for food. Buying, owning, or carrying a handgun doesn't hurt anyone. Until a person commits a crime, he/she is free to choose what he/she wants to do. Even if guns were completely banned from the U.S.A., people would still find a way to get them. Criminals would get guns. They would have their way, and there would be nothing we could do about it. We would have no way to defend ourselves. What is gun control to you? To me, it is the unconstitutional regulation and banning of guns to try to keep the crime rates in this country down. Does it work? Some gun laws are okay and they may work to some extent, but not to the extent that was intended. As for most of these gun laws such as the Brady Law, it serves no purpose. It is only there to make our lawmaking bodies and those of us who are too naive to see the truth feel better. Do you really think that the Brady Law keeps handguns out of the hands of criminals?
