Genetically modified foods are commonly offered as a solution to world hunger, because they take less time to produce larger crops. They have gained increased use because they can grow bigger and faster than regular crops in more difficult environments. GMO foods seem to defeat pests that have plagued farmers for generations. But their common use has reshaped the entire farming industry. Larger companies like Monsanto force small farms that cannot afford the cost of genetically modified seeds out of business. As large agricultural corporations plant across their giant farms with genetically modified seed, the local environment adapts and changes, creating large portions of land that can only grow crops from genetically modified seed.

Looking at the results of GMOs on animals demonstrates how consuming these genetically modified foods can lead to serious health risks. So not only are most body parts affected, the animal’s lifespans are shortened and their offspring have a lower chance of survival. If this were any indication as to how humans will be affected after long-term exposure to GMOs, then I would not want to eat something that could endanger my life.
After years of monitoring by researchers around the world, many of the suspicions surrounding the effects of GMOs on organ health, our offspring, and our DNA has been addressed and tested. Studies have shown that genetically modified foods have been found to exhibit toxicity & appears to be more harmful than ever.
