During The 15th and 16th centuries, Europe gave way to a time of complete rebirth. Knowledge and Learning quickly became an increasing priority to Europeans, and information in areas of mathematics, the sciences, the arts, and various other fields flourished. As many people stepped forward as leaders of this new time, one of the most influential writer and poet stepped into the Renaissance world, introducing English works of poetry, theater, and sonets that are still studied and read throughout all areas of the world today. He is recognized by the name William Shakespeare, a renowned pioneer of the European Renaissance.

William was not only a shareholder within the company, but also continued writing his poems and plays. During the early years of his position, William wrote several of his most recognized and beloved plays today, including Richard II, A Midsummer’s Dream, Romeo and Juliet, and The Merchant of Venice. The success of his works allowed him to buy a large home back within his hometown, and the opportunity to have his plays performed before Queen Elizabeth I. William also was a part of the upbringing of a theater, known as the Globes’, success. During the rule of King James, William continued to write more works, this time focusing on power. Some of his most recognized works during this time were Marc Antony and Cleopatra, Hamlet, Julius Ceaser, and many others. Shakespeare’s characters actions, emotions, and traits influenced other writers of that times views on how write their characters. As well as doing all of this, Shakespeare also blended comedies and tragedies into one, changing Europeans views on keeping tragedies with just tragedies and vice versa. William Shakespeare has also proven to be significant in the emergence of literature, films, and language within the western world. Shakespeare’s plays, poetry, and sonnets are still read, debated, and enjoyed today. They have also proven influential to main ideas, style of writing, and character personality’s in other writer’s literature, as well as being inspiration to many films throughout the world.
