The first evidence is that he may written his own plays comes from the First Folio of 1623. The First Folio was comprised of 36 of his plays, recording and publishing them for the first time. Its co-author was John Heminges, who was a shareholder of the Globe and he also belonged to the same acting company as did Shakespeare. Heminges and Henry Condell, who was also a part of the same acting company, remarked at one time about their late friend that "His mind and hand went together and what he thought, he uttered with that easiness that we have scarce received from him a blot in his papers (The Late Plays 231)." Edward De Vere fits the bill better to be the real writer of Shakespeare. He is known to have composed, directed and acted in plays around the same time as Shakespeare. De Vere studied law at Gray's Inn. Which accounts for the intensive knowledge of the law in William Shakespeare’s plays. The biggest problem for Edward De Vere authoring Shakespeare’s work is the fact that he died in 1604. There were 12 more the plays were written after 1604. Edward De Verne was a great candidate/potential ghost writer of Shakespeare, but his early death clearly throws him out of the conversation. The next guy is Christopher Marlowe. He is an English dramatist, poet and translator of the Elizabethan era. As the foremost Elizabethan tragedian, he is known for his blank verse and his overreaching protagonists.
