How undergraduates get rid of this problem is by having co-op and internships, which are the two best ways for undergraduate students to get jobs. Co-op and internship can help undergraduates to have field experience, because employers find that college graduates severely lacking in some basic skills, particularly problem solving, decision making, and the ability to prioritize tasks. The entry point into any industry is challenging, but as college students, they can find lots of resources and opportunities. The new entry-level job is the internship as experts say. This shows that more college students are seeking for job before. They need to build a good resume with internships, co-op, and work experience as Griswold reports. Matthew Segal, co-founder of an advocacy group for young people, wrote on CNN this year that young people are so desperate to get experience that they're taking unpaid internships and racking up additional debt in the process. Internships are jobs training for professional careers. Internships can help college students to gain work experience and transferable skills, and it will provide a chance to experience the industry students applying for. In American colleges and universities, internships are provided for students, and some students take internships for earning credits and some for earning money. But most students want to gain practical experience, because internships can offer the chance for students to apply what they learned from classes. Another way to get field experience is doing cooperative (co-op). Co-op is working together willingly for common purpose or benefits. Co-op can help college students to start networking, it make connections in their field. Of course, students can also get field experience, because they need to apply what they know and explore more professional information.
