It has been figured out a long time ago that therapeutic communications have played an important role in building effective nurse client relationship. Hildegard E. Peplau was a theorist years ago who introduced the theory of development stages in the nurse-client relationship. Therapeutic communications are the basis of interactive relationships, understand clients’ experiences and find health care resources. Verbal communication includes the arranging of words into sentences and delivering it at an appropriate situation; the area where the conversation takes place which might include the time and the physical, social, emotional and cultural environment. Nonverbal communication includes the behaviour associated with the verbal content such as body language, eye content, facial expression and the tone of the voice. Nonverbal communication mainly indicates the thoughts, needs or feelings of the client and mainly subconsciously.( Sherko, Sotiri and Lika, 2013). Self-awareness is considered as an important tool to develop a therapeutic relationship with patients for healing (Rasheed, 2015, p. 211). Self- awareness is considered to be a significant part in the nursing field. Also, this will lead to ability in terms of high quality nursing care and finally greater satisfaction in client care. The survey of various content demonstrates that self-awareness is a active and transformative procedure of self-reflection and change. It helps in taking part in healthy practices and at finally aides in turning out to be better nurse and prompts to better client mind. Some people have very good understanding and evaluation of their feelings and emotions but for some it needs time and conscious effort to develop self-awareness.
