Geography is the study of earth’s landscapes, people, places, and environments. We study geography to understand the basic physical systems that affect our daily lives. The first theme I am going to go over in this essay is Location. Location is a particular place or position. We use Location for directions using the GPS on our phones or a map in our car. We use it to find a restaurant or mall. If people are giving directions the do not use location, but they use place i’ll expand more on that in the next paragraph. If you were giving somebody directions using a location you would probably be giving them coordinates. For example if I were telling someone where the walmart is I would say what the address of my walmart is in my area.

The definition of Human/Environment interactions is interactions between the human social system and the rest of the ecosystem. For example whenever we are farming this is an interaction between Human and the environment. There are many other ways to affect the environment besides farming. We in fact make the environment worse everyday we go work/school. There are many factors that can make the environment worse than it already was. Such as when we use gas or diesel. These kind of gases make the ozone weak which could make our planet unlivable for humans. There are some organisms that could still live here if we couldn’t though, so this planet would still be inhabited by other organisms. We also hurt the environment when we cut down trees for cities or paper in which we need to continue growing our population. If we continue to cut down these trees we are destroying the habitats of several animals in which live on this earth with us. We are also affecting the environment when we consume so much water that some places in the world hardly even have access to a dependable clean water supply. As we evolve through technology one day these problems may not be a problem
