Geography is the study of Earth and how people used the resources. We study geography to understand what goes on in the environments around us. Geography is always in our lives, even when we do not realize is. Geographers study geography all the time and see why people put things where they are. There are 5 themes of geography; location, place, region, movement, and human/environment interaction. Location describes where a place is. Absolute location usually has a specific longitude and latitude coordinate, as to where relative explains what is around it. Immigrants move in and emigrants move out. People move in and out of states and cities all the time. People like different things about different places, like the weather, jobs, and other things I have already mentioned in the second paragraph. People move from different schools all the time, there was actually a girl from Italy that went to Jennings County High School. People move from different countries legally or illegally. People come to the US to search for safety, food, jobs opportunities, and a different water supply. People move home's to pay less taxes and some people even move for people bullying children. Movement is a part of life, people move everyday whether it be to go to work, move, or anything else. So many people do not understand that geography is in everyday

An example might be people use a river to fish, swim, get water, bath, and could be used for in a sport. People change their environment to get water, like in the desert people do not have very much water so they have to use a screen to catch fog at night to have water for the next day. People use their environment by playing volleyball in the sand, or use the ocean for sailing, and even swimming. People can use their environment in a good or a bad way. In your own environment you use it in a certain way everyday. I use the river for fishing, i use the water in pipes to take showers and use drinking water and to boil water. People throw trash in rivers and in the environment and cause pollution and hurts their own environment. People just hurt themselves in so many ways, they just make their own lives harder.
