ASSIGNMENT TOPIC: Discuss the key factors that determine effective communication. Identify set of communication skills which required at least ten categories of hospitals staff (choose the areas like OT, ICU, Wards, OPD etc) and five categories of healthcare staff. Further explain how you would achieve the highest out come in the respective areas through effective communication. Discuss the relationship between effective communication and interpersonal relationship.

Control members behaviour: When employees communicate about any job related issue to their immediate boss, then communication is following a control function.
2. Motivation : By communication to employees what they must do to achieve specific goals, feed back on progress towards the goals and reward for desired behaviour.
3. Emotional expression of feelings by communication: Within the group by which members show their satisfaction and frustrations.
4. Information: The final function of communication is to facilitate decision making. Communication provides the information which individual and groups need to make decisions by transmitting the data needed to identify and evaluate choices.

COMMUNICATION PROCESS:
The key parts are sender (encodes), the message through a channel and receiver (decodes) gives the feedback. Sender (s) can be a person, department or unit of an organization, who originates the message. Messages are then received and decoded by the receiver (s). Effective communication requires a two day process ( expressive and receptive) in which messages are negotiated until the information is correctly understood by both i.e. the health care service provider and seeker. Successful communication takes place only when providers understand and integrate the information from the patients. In return whern patients comprehend complete message from providers in such a way that enables them to participate responsibility in their care.
Strategies for Improving Handoff Communications
The World Health Organization’s Centre for Patient Safety Solutions has published recommendations on improving handoff communication that include the following: • There has to be common language while transferring the patients from one care provider to other
