In December 2016, I will graduate with both a Master’s in Public Health in Health Behavior and Health Education and an MSW in Social Policy and Evaluation. It is with great enthusiasm that I submit my application for the Patient Relations Manager position at the Oak Street Health. As a health professional with over six years of administrative, customer service and fundraising experience, almost three years of which were within a prominent academic health system, I am certain that my diverse skills and qualifications will make me an asset to the Oak Street Health team. I worked in the Children’s Outpatient clinic, I conducted intake assessments, which was not only a time to assess the child and their respective family for services that were available at the agency, but it was also a time to orient the new family to agency and educate them on the different expectations they should have given their care in the facility. I was tasked with also attending meetings of the agency’s Metro Community Provider Networks to update the quality team of the metrics that were necessary to track and would inevitably dictate their continued support of our patients. In the same reporting period, the organization with my support and follow through had reached a response rate over 90%. Before this I managed projects around the refinement of the shift handoff process between operating room clerks to reduce communication breakdown, orienting new residents to the department, and other health care programming and fellow employee
