Introduction
In this report, I will reflect on my professional development throughout this module, from when I started in September, to now. According to Beausaert et al. (2011), ‘the art of self-evaluation is an integral element of reflection and involves critical insight into understanding one 's strengths and limitations’. Therefore, my aim is to identify my learning needs and to recognise my personal skills and capabilities, as well as identifying areas of my skill set that need to be refreshed or extended to stand out in the competitive job market. By doing this, I hope to demonstrate knowledge of the skills that I have gained during this module.

After completing seven assessments for this module, I do feel that I have learned a lot, and will discuss this in-depth.
Reflection on employability skills development
One of the key assignments that I think has allowed me to develop the most during this module is the assessment centre. During this task for Enterprise Rent-A-Car, we were put into groups and given a specific budget of money that we could donate to a panel of charities, based on the company 's values. What I wanted to achieve was to get an insight into what the environment is like and the sort of exercises that take place so that I can become familiar with the process, and I can use it to my advantage. Going to the assessment centre, I was slightly nervous as I had never taken part in one before and for the fact that I was being marked on my performance, so I was unsure of what to expect, which made me feel uncomfortable. However, during the exercise, I became more comfortable as I got into the task and though that I made a valuable contribution to the group. For every job that you have, you will need to have a certain set of skills to be successful. For example, two people are looking to be hired, but only one person will actually get the job. The two people have near identical resumes but a few things make them different. While the first person was able to articulate his ideas when he was being interviewed, the second person could not. The first person was incredibly dedicated to getting the job while the second person was not. Last but not least, the first person was able to adapt to the fast moving paced job unlike the second person. In the end the first person got the job because of his dedication, flexibility, and communication skills. It would be extremely unbeneficial to go into a job without having, in my opinion, these most important set of skills. While there are several job skills that are essential to being successful, I strongly believe that being dedicated, adaptable, and have phenomenal communication skills are the most important.
In conclusion, I have reflected upon the Competencies in Professional Counseling and Related Human Services handout and offered a detailed exploration of my strengths and weaknesses. Moreover, I offered an argument in support of my proposed method for attenuating my strength and improving my weaknesses. The Closing Bell Speaker Series consists of lectures where presenters from different companies speak about professional development in areas that pertain to their career or a topic that they are passionate about. The purpose of this paper is to summarize two of the Closing Bell Speaker Series that I attended and to relate the information I was given to my own professional development. This paper will include a background of the speakers that presented, a summarization of their presentation, and my response to the information presented.
Reflection is a key part of our personal development plan that is significant from both academic and employment perspectives. It investigates and someway measures our present level of skills and knowledge by looking back to reflect our latest performance and monitoring future improvements (Gallagher K., 2013, p. 23-24).
As we reviewed the self awareness module this past week it was very interesting to see how the self assessments provided the class information about their own personal human behaviors. I was aware of most of the information provided but there were some tendencies I was surprised to find fitted my character. It was good to be reminded of the things I had forgotten about myself. Learning about my individuality and how I interact and respond to others based on my traits, personality and behavior has been an awakening experience. It is also great to know that I can work on areas that need improvement to become a more balance person to better assist my subordinates, teams and organizations.
These are the skills I already have such as: communication; personal skills; motivational; creative and time management skills. Employability has been defined as “the capability to gain initial employment, maintain employment and obtain new employment if required” (McQuaid and Lindsay, 2005; Hillage and Pollard, 1998). Although, the concept has been widely defined and generally accepted by researchers, there is still confusion as to how an individual tends to develop employment capacity in particular. Many researches have been conducted to identify the need to acquire and to find ways through which the capacity could be developed. The transition of the students from education to work has to be smooth to be more effective and benefit both the student as well as the general society.

Employability skills and Career readiness have become an integral part of education. Employers are looking for people with a combination of skills such as soft skills, customer service skills and life skills. Not having sufficient employability skill sets, is one of the main reason for many students not getting selected in campus drives. Focus is more on technical knowledge than soft skills in their curriculum. During the course of their education , required level of importance is not given to key qualities like effective communication, leadership qualities, time management skills, self motivation, problem solving skills and creative thinking.
Through the self-assessment instruments utilized in this program, I have gained wealth of knowledge about my strengths, and weaknesses and how they affect my personal and professional life. By using different exercises, I recognized new strengths and weaknesses. At the same time, I identified ways to develop my strengths and overcome my weaknesses. The Kolb Learning Style Inventory (LSI) identified some of my strengths as the ability to get things done, initiating, and taking risks (Kolb, 2007). In the Strongest Self Feedback Exercise, some of the feedback listed my strengths as having excellent interpersonal and communication skills, being self-confident, a fast learner, determined, hardworking, and an awesome listener (Drucker, 2005).
