Why The Police Should Be Changed

Do you ever want to go on a walk at night? Or, do you ever get a late night craving for food and take a trip to a fast food restaurant to satisfy your hunger? Well if you do, do you ever get hassled by the police? Here in Puyallup there is a strict curfew that residents of this town are not allowed to be out walking around past nine o’clock or be driving past one o’clock, like were all little children. The city of Puyallup is treating us as such. The curfew rules should be changed because we are not all law breaking, petty theft, drug addicts. Not everyone is downtown ignorantly drunk driving and citizens whom have work obligations don’t have normal work schedules. Not every person whom walks the streets late at night are drug addicts looking for vehicles to break into, or houses to rob to obtain money for their next fix. Some people just like to walk around at night; I know I do, it’s peaceful and quite. Society values people who can balance their work and academic schedule’s. Some people have to work graveyard or swing shifts if they go to school during the day. Still others juggle the rigors of night classes in order to support their night classes during the day. I believe that in doing so these innocent people should not be harassed by the local police on the hunt for deviants that ruin privileges for the rest of the community. There are kids working and going to school attempting to start their lives and make forward moves in the direction of success.
