1. At CoBA, we place great importance in values, initiative and professionalism. Describe one example of how you have demonstrated these qualities.

It is by setting constant goals for myself that I am able to demonstrate values and initiative throughout my life in a consistent way. Immediate goals limit distractions along the path I choose to take. Short-term goals keep my eyes down the road to ensure that I can overcome the obstacles ahead. Long-term goals allow me to understand that the obstacles that I see ahead are far inferior to unforeseen challenges that wait for me down the road. It is with this system in mind that I am able to constantly achieve while maintaining my core values and constant initiative. Professionalism allows those goals to come to fruition by creating networks and friendships that are the cornerstone in business achievement.

2. What are your career aspirations? How will your education at CoBA help you achieve them? Why is this the right time for you to pursue an MBA?

Living life to the fullest while working in a position that allows me to constantly grow and challenges my mind in ways that makes me a better person is my aspiration. This aspiration can only be accomplished through constant personal and professional achievement as well as attaining industry supported accreditations. Now is the time to act on the accreditation as a Naval Officer’s career only allows for small windows to accomplish personal goals.

3. Describe an occasion when you built and developed a team.

Until the fall of 2013, the Navy life had prevented me from volunteering with the community. A window of opportunity opened for me to give my time to the local youth football team. It is difficult enough to helping a pre-teen focused...

...2 chances to fail any of the 6 tests before being removed from your career. I am a business major. This was nothing like business. It was a technical circus that required everything I had. I stumbled along while trying to catch up to the already established knowledge of the best of the best students from all of the Military Academies and I had to keep up. For every hour of work they did, I needed two. For every question they had, I had four. I was just trying to keep my head above water. It was in these challenging weeks when I feel I was at my best. My new career depended on it. My work ethic was unbreakable and my fortitude was tested to the core. I made it through flight school. I earned my Wings of Gold. I earned my own respect having faced failure at its highest point and I succeeded. That is the most challenging goal that I have achieved in my life thus far.
