The origin of the Civil Rights Movement for African-Americans came when the African Americans could not stand the discrimination anymore and they thought they should be part of the normal world. They started doing things that had not been done before such as not moving from a white person’s seat on a bus and other things of that nature. There were three major leaders of this movement. They were, James Meredith, Stokely Carmichael, and Martin Luther King Jr. Most people forget about the first two but no one ever forgot the greatness of Martin Luther King.
