Who is going to continue the legacy of our previous generations, the generations before us that formed the solid ground we stand on today with the sacrifices suffered yesterday? Last year, my brother firmly announced his courageous decision to join the National Guard. What did this mean for our family?
The military was splitting our family up, but it was also the only thing holding us together. Our nation is founded on the men and women who have made decisions to join the military. People that are willing to lay their lives down for us keep our country knitted together. Without this bravery and courage that young men and women have instilled in them, our country would not be a country of freedom, hope, and pride. We should all possess an inborn gratitude for our soldiers that have risked their entire lives for our nation. Military work is arduous work for anyone to defend this country but is a duty essential to the future of America. Joining the military is no easy commitment. Soldiers learn respect, honor, pride, leadership, combat skills, and more crucial qualities. The military molds young men and women into the future heroes of America. Our future depends on the incoming military who surrender their lives to keep ours safe. We owe everything to the men and women who are willing to undergo the intense training and harsh conditions. What kind of exposure would our country be at risk of? What kind of hope would America have? Our country would be destroyed, trampled on, and would no longer be our country. Another country would carve their name into the roots of our soil. America desperately needs selfless citizens amenable to being a fighter. If no one is qualified for war, our nation would crumble to the ground. We have hope for the America we love. We have hope for the inborn devotion of citizens who are bursting with patriotism and pride for this great nation. We trust these people to lead our country out of the hands of evil and into the safe embrace of freedom. Our hope is in the unity and harmony of our identity that we are a solid nation, uneasily deteriorated. We believe in a country that is joined by the hardships and difficulties we face. We stand on the foundation of a million men’s bloodshed. We stand on the tears of mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers that have all watched a loved one die for keeping this country alive. We must keep this country breathing.
