Some also feel that the training is inadequate, repetitive and not allowing the individual to actually learn about combat situations and how to protect themselves. The profession of arms calls upon the skill and sacrifice of its members in ways that no other profession will. Soldiers should have no doubts of the army’s intent for them to succeed and should take every advantage of the system set in place for them to do so. We all have responsibility and opportunity to explore the army professional development system and to become the best soldier we can be. Professionalism is maintained and progressed daily through decisions.
Dodging bullets and and praying to God that your foot does not step on a landmine. Missing the company of your family, not to mention having to miss birth of your first born child. Only to be on an unknown terrain, hoping that the next second will not be your last, only to produce a salary that rigidly pays to maintain your household. No country or civilization has ever survived without Soldiers. Soldiers do the things that the majority of the populations just aren’t physically able or willing to do. Without Soldiers to stand in the way of harm, no borders would hold enemies out. Some say Soldiers are born and others would say that they are trained how to Soldier. Military, age and religion groups are the ones I consider myself a part of. The first group that has been valued by me and many other people is the military. They might not be everybody’s favorite group , yet the things they have accomplished for the United States, and many other countries are quite significant. America has been affected since the start. Once Christopher Columbus sailed and founded America’s soil it was right then and there, when everything started to grow and everyone wanted that big piece of land that was settled by the Indian tribes.
In an Army unit, where every individual must be willing to trust someone next to them, even with their life, the ability to do what is right at all times is a necessity. Without integrity, an Army unit will cease to function in a cohesive manner.
