Description of the problem: According to go.nationalpartnership.org, white, non-Hispanic women in the United States, who hold full-time, year-round jobs, are typically paid just 77 cents for every dollar paid to men. To aggravate even more the situation for females, inside our own group, differences in wages based on ethnic and racial components also exist. Asian American women’s salaries show a 90 percent difference in comparison to white men’s earnings. The salary of African American woman on average is 64 cents and Latinas just 55 cents for every dollar paid to white, non-Hispanic men. In the Miami metro area, for example, a woman who holds a full-time job is generally paid $34,860 per year, while a man in equal condition, working in the …show more content…

We all have the moral obligation to establish equal rules between each individual. In my project, I’ll aim convince companies that establishing equal salaries between man and woman will offer women an incentive to have even a better job performance and at the same time it will exhort man to maximize their efforts to stand out among their co-workers in the same range, which receiving the same salary, will all be treated the same. On the other hand, policy makers are also capable of establishing stronger incentives for employers to follow the law, enhance federal enforcement efforts, and prohibit retaliation against workers asking about wage practices. I am planning to shape my proposal to appeal to my target audience’s interest and knowledge by providing them with coherent thoughts and relevant data, which with percentages and comparative graphs will enhance the credibility of the text.
Initial Hypothesis: Although positive changes would be made by just enforcing existing laws, getting better informed, and taking action, the wage gap is far too entrenched for that. I am proposing to establish more unions representing women’s rights, underlying their issues in the work force, establishing work-family policies and in this way eradicating the gender segregation and differences that limit society from evolving on the pay
