1. Strengths
a) The areas where I am the stronger would be the empathy scale, which assesses the degree to which I identify feelings for others. I couldn’t agree more with that score because I enjoy the opportunity to meet others and identify their most important attributes. I take feelings into consideration when making choices. I feel the need to make every person feel as though they are welcomed and important in my life. Another strength of mine would be the intellectual interaction, which assesses my degree of seeking out knowledge of other cultural orientations. I really enjoy learning about more cultures and the way they live their lives. I feel it is important to learn more about what others do, so I can grow in my own culture.
b) This test really shows the true person I am and the attitude I have with life. I enjoy being compassionate and unselfish. One of the reasons why I want to be a teacher because I have a compassion and concern to help a child grow into their full potential. …show more content…

I come from a very family orientated and close family. My decision-making style is deepened by my ingrained family culture and it’s hard to overcome the perceived integration. I understand that we all come from different backgrounds, but I can’t integrate other cultures into my daily activities. I’ll be honest, I do enjoy Chinese food every once and a while. I just feel as though if I would integrate other cultures, I would lose my own culture. I’ve always grown up interacting with other cultures, but haven’t ever changed behaviors to be more like them. I feel like the behavioral scale doesn’t allow for different cultures to integrate. Every person has their own behavior and it shows the type of person we are.
