I think we can all agree that technology has a firm grip on our lives which will never cease to exist now that it has become. We as humans have integrated technology into our lives to the point of where it is practically required in order to function within today’s society. Yet, we continue to let technology further into our lives to the point of where we depend on technology in order to communicate and to seek advice, rather than from our elders. Times have changed rapidly since the existence of the computer which led to a new form of dependence once it became easier to access. Technology has taken over conversations and has revolutionized connections in negative ways that distance each other. The dependence technology has created is not only hurting our connections to each other, but it is also changing the way we feel and how we go about our everyday lives.
The connection that is held between technology and connection is astounding, but is technology truly connecting us? People can only connect so much while they text each other. They may say that it isn’t necessary to have all of the new innovations that are being established but it will be when daily tasks become further integrated with the innovations. Old ways of doing things will soon be forgotten and replaced with the new ways and the older generation will soon become obsolete. Things have changed so much. There was once a time when technology wasn’t nearly as advanced and was actually a hassle to use.
