Technology: Helping Us or Hurting Us

There are a few components that go along with technology. There are a lot of pros to technology, but what else is it good for? Many people think that technology is bad, but at this time of life, the good always outweighs the bad.
There are always two sides to a story, correct? This includes technology itself. We all know that technology has its good times and then it has its bad times. Some of the common things that most people have is a cell phone. The good thing about a cell phone is the convenience of having a phone handy when you need it. You have every contact you need inside your mobile device. You can kill some time by playing games and downloading apps. The down side to it is, if you do not charge it, it dies. Then you have no way of calling anyone, especially when you need it the most in the case of an emergency. Technology has its pros and cons, but has anyone ever thought that good weighs more than bad?
We all know why we like technology. Some positive things of technology that mostly everyone had thought about are how convenient it is. But have you looked deeper into the pros of technology? For example, technology had come a long way. Take a look at DNA forensics. Without DNA testing and tracking, we would not be able to put criminals in jail when they are guilty. This process has worked great for those studying forensics, science, even working for the government. As stated from the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, DNA is especially important in the study of evolution. They are right! DNA and other sciences would not make the world it is today. Whether technology is with us or hurting us, we still have to use it and it affects our lives daily. We need it to get a hold of someone. We need it to do our jobs. Most importantly, we need it to keep our lives away from harm. There are many ways to manipulate technology, but technology has more good to it than bad. There are those who use it for good, like investigators so they can figure out the real story. Then there are those who use it for bad, just like those who commit cyber bullying along with other minor and major things. We need technology regardless if people argue they like or not. There is no way to stop technology and keeping people from making it better. With the developments in technology, we may be able to enjoy all the pricey luxuries and still enjoy life at the same time.
