Performance Summary My first employment was in November 2012 in which ended in March the following year, 2013. I began as a restaurant server at the Mama Chen restaurant. The various duties that I was entrusted with were greeting the guests and presenting them with the menu on arrival at the restaurant. I would then take the orders for both the food and beverages from the guests of which I was expected to engage the guests in conversation which was intended to provide any assistance that the guests had queries about. The duties I carried out were more or less the same as the Mama Chen restaurant. Handling the guest check-ins and their consequent checkouts efficiently after mastering the OPERA system of reservation at the desk was one of the responsibilities. As an agent, one was required to handle all the cash processing procedures and assisting the guests with all their inquiries, which regarded the services that the hotel offered as well as the directions to the hotel. This is a skill I had mastered from my previous work experience. Finally, an assortment of the client database was the last requirement of a desk agent. Currently, I am in the sales department in a jewelry store called Pandora. The duties here require that I initiate service through socializing with the customers and learning as well as remembering the knowledge of Pandora. This way, the customers get the feeling of trust and can thus move ahead with the purchase processes. It is also based on my interests and the type of personality type that I am, the previous experiences in places that I have worked and the role I will have later in life. As a student, I was able to put together and engage in cultural events in the San Jose State University such as the Night Market and the Lunar Year festival so as to promote the Taiwanese culture. In addition to, I am computer literate and proficient in two languages English and Mandarin. During my performance review when pursuing my degrees, my supervisor recognized my outstanding performance in adjusting to new activities and environments.
