Today 's day many scientists and environmentalists are gathering together to give credence to changes in our overall planet. Some believe it is just a theory, others place confidence in a reality that can dramatically end humankind. The ideology is called, “Global Warming”, an increase in the average temperature all around the world, most referred as the greenhouse effect. Since there are two sides to the idea that Global Warming both a theory and a fact, it 's no surprise that to most people the idea of Global Warming is a deeply disputed topic. Based on experimental data and statistics, the conclusion of Global Warming is becoming a reality, not a theory. In the 1800s land was getting civilized like never before by man. Today, people of the world are governed by their countries. Reaching individuals on a political level would definitely ensure the best possible outcome for that country. For example, “International leaders... [reached] an agreement to reduce emissions and form a treaty…(“Global Warming”). When world leaders meet up with the best possible outcome in mind, it becomes a recipe for success. Not only do they interact despite their many differences, but they also want to work together to ensure their nations and their culture lives on in history. This is extremely beneficial to the entire globe, it brings divided nations together. To add, “President Barack Obama in 2013 pledged to continue reducing the county 's greenhouse gas emissions”(“Global Warming”). Even so, he did follow through with his pledge. To this day, the United States had drastically reduced their air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. Now, like all great ideas, there are issues that follow. Some nations may not be interested at lowering their global footprint. For example, “industrial nations couldn 't agree on timetables and target goals… [also] they were unwilling to reduce emissions of these [harmful] glasses [that] motor vehicles, power plants [and] other sources [create].”(“Global Warming”). To truly extinguish this problem, all nations must work as one. Even if one refuses to cooperate, the entire system can be compromised. Because we live in the world where you can become wealthy by polluting the earth, many nations will refuse to help. That is why this economic solution is extremely
Global warming is not a big deal what's so ever. Too many average people are freaking out over nothing. We should all just leave it to the more experienced political leaders and scientists. It’s not like everyday people can make an impact on the environment. All these nations are trying to work together, when in reality it’s causing more arguments. Why not just leave the earth to warm up? We will all be dead before anything extreme happens anyway. Right now the oceans are bringing in more water,
What is global warming? Global warming is defined as a gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth’s atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, and other pollutants. This issue is not only a concern to the United States, but to the entire world because everyone and everything is being affected due to global warming. This problem is a big concern because not only is it effecting the Earth, but humans as well
Climate Change’s Effects on the Future A majority of scientists agree that global warming, or climate change, will have both short and long term dangerous impacts on the natural environment, humans and many other species on Earth. Though global warming is a phenomenon that does occur naturally over time, in the past century the world’s climate has dramatically changed as a result of the increased amount of greenhouse gases emitted through human activity. Because this excess of carbon and other
Global warming is a topic of discussion that many people can debate or try to avoid. It is often argued that the causes of global warming are either caused by humans, nature, or both. Some of these people don’t even have a clue about the impact they have on Earth and the ozone layer. Some people may not even know what causes global warming. If people don’t know how they are contributing to global warming, how are they going to contribute to stop it? Humans affect global warming by activities
permanently changed the earth through global warming. This idea relies on the assumptions that global warming has caused irrevocable changes to the environment and that humans have only recently changed the earth. One key premise that these excerpts rely on is the idea that the changes caused by global warming are irreversible. McKibben argues that we have gone past the point where even drastic changes to how we live couldn’t prevent the worsening of global warming. Even if we were to do “everything
Change: A Ticking Time Bomb Call it climate change or global warming––it is legitimate. Arguments should not be made about the existence being a hoax; scientific evidence, based and backed by facts, shows the reality of it. Year by year, global warming gains strength and because of that we are destroying our planet and exterminating our existence. Diseases are gaining power and killing us quicker because of climate change. According to the U.S. Global Change Research Program, climate change is making
Climate Reality For a long time, climate change has been a major issue. Something needs to be done. To many, especially researchers, climate change is a bad thing, not only for the environment but also to the humans living within it; however most might consider climate change is nothing but a natural climate shift. Global warming has caused a lot of changes that affect both wildlife and human activities. The effects are obvious and therefore, this brings out the question as to whether such changes
Global warming is the rise in average temperature of Earth’s atmosphere and oceans. If the warming continues it will have drastic effects on our lives in the future. Things such as harsher summers and colder winters will become a reality for future generations. Global warming is real, despite what the naysayers say, and it will affect us in many different ways if we can’t solve this problem. By presenting skeptics arguments about global warming I’ll prove global warming to be real by disproving them
Worldwide Denial of Global Warming As human beings, we need to respect the environment in which we live. This is important to greater our future and that of others to follow. Very few people realize that their daily behaviors have a direct impact on the environment, the atmosphere in particular. By emitting harmful gasses into the air on a daily basis is one of the main reasons of such climate changes. People notice such changes and yet don't do anything to help the situation. Wee don't realize
Climate Change and Humanity The effects of global warming and climate change can no longer be ignored. Unlike previous species and our ancestors that inhabited the Earth before us, we have the gift of foresight and the scientific, mathematic and engineering knowledge to implement changes to benefit the future and lessen the damage that has already been done. Yet, politics and bureaucracy continuously inject roadblocks when it comes to implementing necessary changes and has historically tried to
environmentalist and meteorologists. Many people believe that Global Warming is false and that it is a scam created by the government to manipulate the population and increase taxes. Some say that by using College freshman statistics we can show that the error rate in temperature samples used is greater than the claimed temperature rise. In other word this theory claims that the government is manipulating the media to give false information to the public. In reality, it’s a catastrophic factor we face every day
Climate change is something very real in today’s society. People need to be more aware of what is happening to the world around them. CO2 levels are rising, the ice caps are melting and sea levels are rising. The awareness about global warming should rise...not our CO2 levels. According to the graph shown on NASA’s climate change website, our CO2 levels on earth have rose ever since the Industrial Revolution. Multiple greenhouse gases block heat from leaving Earth’s atmosphere. Over the years, the
on global warming due to climate change. Climate problems may not take up any awareness among people in today’s society. Humans are responsible for many of the climate problems we are facing. Climate changes naturally and the current trend of global warming started before the industrial revolution. Before the climate change the climate was a lot warmer. Weather and temperature could be one of the major issues that affects global warming and climate change. Global temperatures Global warming has
Global warming affects the ocean water level because of the raising temperatures; it causes the icebergs to melt which adds more water in the ocean. This poses a threat to Hawaii and other islands because Hawaii is made up of islands, which are small and surrounded by water. This leaves us at risk for many things with the reef and the people. Global warming has some very potential impact on Hawaii’s environment, health, economy and natural resources. With the environment if the sea level raises our
It is becoming increasingly certain that climate change will have severe adverse effects on the environment in years to come. Addressing this issue poses a serious challenge for policy makers. How we choose to respond to the threat of global warming is not simply a political issue. It is also an economic issue and an ethical one. Responsible, effective climate change policy requires consideration of a number of complex factors, including weighing the costs of implementing climate change policies
