To this country, our veterans mean a lot. Veterans are loyal, they’ve stood by this country in hard times, and they’ve never stopped believing in freedom. They are strong, they stood up for this country in the times that we needed them the most, and if we need them again, they’ll be there. Our veterans are heroes, they’ve saved this country, and kept it under safeguard. Some are old, and some are young. Some have served in WWII and some are serving in Iraq. Our veterans have sacrificed their time, and risk their lives, for what? This country, the country that shelters us, the country that guards us. They love this land that we call home. Veterans are special because of the love they give to their family, friends, and this nation. When we’re young, we don’t realize the importance that our veterans hold. They have dedicated themselves at a high risk of losing their lives. And for what? They did it so that we, as Americans, could have a safe place to call our home, our country, and so we could have our freedom. They have endured hardships that we may never know. However, they did those things because they love us and this country. No, they may not us, but they love us, because we are the future. Our generation holds a key to how this country will be. Our generation has the future veterans of this country. They didn’t do those things because anyone asked them to, they did those things so we could have a safe and somewhat normal life. They fought for their country because they thought they would gain first class citizenship when they returned, but that didn’t happen. When they returned home, nothing had changed. They were still discriminated. They felt a lot of resentment over that.
Our veterans helped make our country the best country, which is known for fact.Today, because of our veterans I’m proud to say that every citizen has the right to speak and share their voice no matter what their race is. In some countries, there are still racial conflicts and all races.I am also proud to say that every child in America,no matter what their race is, they can have a free education. Most children in other countries are not allowed to go to school because they can’t afford it instead, they go to work
When you look into veterans eyes, you can see several things that are important. The pride shines through, the pride of serving ones country, and the dedication to protect other peoples freedom even it if requires paying the ultimate price. These men and women give their lives to give us our freedom. As a one of the many individuals that they are protecting it is vital that we see that pride and appreciate where it comes from.
