To this country, our veterans mean a lot. Veterans are loyal, they’ve stood by this country in hard times, and they’ve never stopped believing in freedom. They are strong, they stood up for this country in the times that we needed them the most, and if we need them again, they’ll be there. Our veterans are heroes, they’ve saved this country, and kept it under safeguard. Some are old, and some are young. Some have served in WWII and some are serving in Iraq. Our veterans have sacrificed their time, and risk their lives, for what? This country, the country that shelters us, the country that guards us. They love this land that we call home. Veterans are special because of the love they give to their family, friends, and this nation. When we’re young, we don’t realize the importance that our veterans hold. They have dedicated themselves at a high risk of losing their lives. And for what? They did it so that we, as Americans, could have a safe place to call our home, our country, and so we could have our freedom. They have endured hardships that we may never know. They’ve been out there on that battlefield, and they know what it is like. They have shielded this country way from that. They do not want us to ever …show more content…

However, they did those things because they love us and this country. No, they may not us, but they love us, because we are the future. Our generation holds a key to how this country will be. Our generation has the future veterans of this country. They didn’t do those things because anyone asked them to, they did those things so we could have a safe and somewhat normal life. They sacrificed their lives, so we didn’t have to. They answered the call, so we could be free. They didn’t do it for the government, or because it was “cool,” they did it so we could have this country, the way it is
