Most of us go to college because we want to have a good future. We want to have a secure job when we get older, so we can have a happy live. There are a lot of sacrifices we may have to make to be able to graduate a four-year college to get degree. we may have to sacrifice socialization and laziness. There are a lot of people who would make these sacrifices, but they do not have the resources, such as money and car for college, even if they do have car they cannot afford college tuitions. The closer it is the more real it becomes and the closer they are to their dream job. “Yes, colleges prepare people for jobs, but more critically, they prepare people for life. A job may be a starting point for a good life, but it shouldn’t be the end” (Hrabowski 260). Many come to college with the idea it will be all fun and games, but I here to tell you that you actually have to study and go to class. Only some classes take attendance but if you don’t go to class you will not pass. That means you have to retake the class, paying for it again. There is no one who will follow you around to make sure you turned in the assignment that was due. Just like in the real world, you are expected to do your work with no one checking up on you to make sure that you have started that report. If you don’t do your work you will be fired.
