Community service comes in many different forms that many students in America already embody voluntarily. Depending on the community one lives in, the possibilities are endless for the types of community service one could partake in. Community service is important on both ends of the spectrum: for those who are benefiting from the kind act and for those who are performing the local duty. Many people, such as the elderly, are able to receive much needed help in a wide variety of things. Also those volunteering are able to benefit from a moral uplifting. Community service instills a certain level of accomplishment in a young mind. Not only that, but community service can be used as learning tool for learning valuable lessons in responsibility and dedication. This is highly important for the functional development of the young mind, and a major reason for state funded schools to consider requiring community …show more content…

Tutoring would be the easiest and the best time of community service that I could try. This would be important for both the person I am tutoring, as well as me. It would allow me to gain new personal skills to help me prepare for the real world, while also allowing myself to be challenged in hard subjects. This would be beneficial for those that I'm tutoring because they would have the opportunity to get much needed help and assistance. Tutoring would be one of my strong suits as I am very academically inclined. I do not participate in any sports, but I am a member of many academic clubs and study in Advanced Placement and Honors classes. This type of community service would also be able to help the current tutoring programs. the current program has little help and is poorly ran. I believe that if I had to do this community service, I would be able to benefit my peers and reboot the tutoring program as a
