Some of the challenges Theodore Roosevelt how to overcome in order to become a great leader is as a child he was puny and very sickly. He was suffering from asthma, also he had terrible eyesight, and was extremely skinny. He suffered so much his parents didn't even know if he would survive.Even his father mentioned, “You have a mind, but you have not a body, and without the help of the body the mind cannot go as far as it should.

Some things Roosevelt included in his daily agenda that contributed to his leadership ability is every day along side of working on his body he worked on his mind by assessing his progress he has made. Roosevelt admitted that as a child he was “nervous and timid. Yet,” Roosevelt stated, “from reading of the people I admired… and from knowing my father, I had a great admiration for men who were fearless and who could hold their own world, and I had a great desire to be like them.” In this quote he mentioned something bad about him. But then he said the word “yet” and it totally flipped the whole message around focussing on the positive instead of the negative. But the person I mostly look to for inspiration is my dad. I look up to my dad because he has always been there with me through tough times. Just like Theodore Roosevelt I suffer asthma and my dad has been there to help me. He comes to as many as my sports games as possible cheering me on in the stands and taking me on amazing vacations with my family. He also plays with me all the time and helps me with homework when I need it. My dad inspires me because he has won many awards including Emmys and inspires me to do great things in my life ahead of
