This year my class and I had to learn about the Constitution and how the Constitution affects our daily life today. I learned a lot interesting things that I didn't know about the Constitution like the Amendments, the Bills of Rights, the Three Branches of Government, and why we need the Constitution. First, I’ll start with my favorite section of the Constitution, the Amendments. All 27 amendments gives everyone in the United States rights. For example the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendment are mostly the same but the 15th amendment gives everyone in the U.S rights to vote, the 13th amendment forbids slavery, and the 15th amendment makes sure that everyone that is born in the U.S is automatically a natural born citizen no matter what race they are. The Bill of Rights is the first ten amendments. In my opinion the Bill of Rights is the most important section in the Constitution. The first amendment is the freedom of press, freedom of religion, freedom of petition, and freedom of speech, the second amendment gives the right to bear arms which mean everyone has a right to own a gun, the third amendment is the housing of soldiers, the fourth amendment is …show more content…

The Legislative Branch is the branch that makes the laws and rights for the U.S, the Executive Branch is the branch that has the President and his cabinet members, and the Judicial Branch is the branch that makes sure the laws are constitutional. The Three Branches can also check each other. For example the Legislative Branch can check the Executive Branch by impeaching the President if he's not doing his job and the Legislative Branch can check the Judicial Branch by impeaching Judicial court members. (In this activity we had to write about the Three Branches of Government and annotate the the top.
