According to John Lott, PhD, the Founder and President of the Crime Prevention Research Center, states that had concealed carry laws had reduced murders by 8.5%, rapes by 5%, aggravated assaults by 7%, and robbery by 3%. With many people having concealed guns, it is surprising that there are still controversies on whether or not having concealed guns will help people feel safer. People who have concealed guns are able to feel better able to protect themselves if a crime were to happen. If someone were to walk around at night or in a dangerous place they would feel better knowing that if something were to happen they could protect themselves against it.
