I know what it’s like to want to do certain things like, attending the gym or starting a dreadful 10-page paper that is almost impossible to begin. Yeah, I know what it's like to want to do these things but never have time for them. The struggle with being a college student, we have so many priorities that will distract us from doing our schoolwork. This idea relates to time management since 20% of your work usually generates about 80% of positive results. Following this principle helps produce the most benefit. Peoples excuse all the time is, oh, I don’t have enough time or oh, there aren’t enough hours of the day to study. You can make time, if you wanted to, you just choose not to. If you consider studying a priority, there is no argument with having time to study. Spending less time watching tv and being on social media, will yield more timely. I would also suggest making a set schedule, being responsible and sticking to it. In addition, if you make a steady schedule and set it in your calendar, on this day and that hour I'm going to be studying and this day and that hour I will have free time. Furthermore, it will be a whole lot easier to do all the work you're supposed to be doing. If you're organized and do the work, you're supposed to do then you will achieve it. Establishing a routine and forcing yourself to do it will be helpful, and will eventually become a habit. Consequently, the stress of doing it will be much less. Moreover, time management not only advances your college career, it can also improve the quality of your life. Time is one of life's most valuable possessions, it must be used carefully and efficaciously and not taken advantage of. Not only will time management enhance your college career, it will also improve your life. It’s not as tough as you may think to deal with your time and efforts and doing so will generate your way of life on your path. Begin gradually, and you will notice incremental
Procrastination is the word that I would use to thoroughly depict people. It’s not that everyone procrastinates, but most people do, and almost everyone has at least once in their lifetime. I am positive that you have put off an assignment and had good reason to do so. I often put off all my assignments because the TV is always a better way to spend my time. The history paper can wait, as can the dog that needs feeding. The job doesn’t need to be completed until the very last minute. Now, there is a very sound science to procrastinating. Some would say that it is a skill; furthermore, all my friends refer to me as the “Pro” crastinator. Procrastinating is the best thing ever it feels amazing, and especially if the assignment is boring. The
The importance of being on time in the military (or anywhere at all), is simply a symptom of discipline, which was instilled in new enlisted soldiers during basic training. Being on time shows reliability. We have to show discipline, responsibility, show care through following military rules and regulations. Being on time not only pertains to accountability, but shows respect to our fellow soldiers, our unit, command and organization as a whole. Being on time also will avoid any disciplinary actions that may hinder you from reaching your goals. Being on time may have a greater importance and effect, than we may know. Being on time enables us to be able to trust and rely on each other in life and death situations. Last but not least, it shows that we will be able and ready to capitalize on our capabilities to complete our missions. It is not acceptable to be late (except when involving safety limitations), because missions and operations are interlocking pieces that must function together as a whole in order for it to work in a timely manner. All successful and respective people all have one common attribute, and this is knowing and exhibiting the importance of being on time.

A second strategy I think is very useful for my college career is to set goals. This is useful for someone like me who always seems to slack off in school and give in to less important concerns. For example I would have school and work as my main priorities, but I would get distracted and end up playing video games or just hanging out doing nothing productive with my time. I decided to a set certain...
The computer is on, the coffee maker. is cooking, and I am under a lot of stress. "There isn't a lot of time left," I said. keep telling myself as I look at the blank piece of paper in front of me. The definition of procrastination according to Solomon & Rothblum is the determined delay of the start or completion of a task (1984). Procrastinators will also differ from those who do not procrastinate in numerous ways. An example would be that procrastinators often fear failure, strive for perfection, may be slightly pessimistic and more anxious, which may become worse when they realize they are procrastinating (McCown & Johnson, 1991) or when deadlines are approaching (Tice & Baumeister, 1997). The personal and realistic problems that result from dysfunctional procrastination are predominantly acute in academics, as the inclination to put off school-related tasks often result in challenging levels of stress (Solomon & Rothblum 1984), on the whole the end of the academic semester would be the peak (Tice & Baumeister, 1997).
Procrastination is a tendency to postpone, put off, delay, reschedule, take a rain check on, put on ice, hold off, or to defer what is necessary to reach a particular goal.(Roget's 21st Century Thesaurus, Third Edition. What you are attempting to evade is postponing your degree due to overwhelming responsibilities. Once you develop a system with perhaps a daily planner or calendar you ensure your kids and spouse are not neglected from time. Although, your job has a set time of hours, you still have to make time to study and or even attend night school if necessary. According to Barry University (2007), study skills are essential first starting with classroom strategies and then time management second. They state that the first session sets the tone for the class and usually outlines ...

To begin with, I changed my time management in order to balance between study and entertainment. During high school, I had a poor time management. I attended school for seven hours and tutorial classes after school every day. After that, I had to do tons of homework such as book report, essay and assignment. Although it was late after finishing all my work, I surfed the Internet instead of going to sleep. I always thought that I still have much time left, so I procrastinated all the time. I slept only five hours a day, so I fell asleep in class. As I was not concentrated in class, I missed many important points from the teacher. I had to use more time to study after school so as to catch up. After having the poor experience, I understand the importance of having a good time management, so I tried to plan my work in the college. During college, I have much more free time. I have classes four to five hours a day and the rest is my free time, hence, it is important to have a good time management. I have to make sure that I do not use up my time in surfing the Internet. My goal of attending
