There are three different types of energy systems in our body, another name for this is metabolic pathways. They are in charge of the chemical reactions within our bodies. The energy system includes 3 different pathways, phosphate, glycolytic and oxidative. All three pathways are used in basketball, being able to understand these concepts is a great advantage over other opponents. These pathways work together to provide the energy required for the game.
