Our original marketing plan was not a plan at all. We wanted to see success and focused on revenues, net sales, and stock price to gauge whether we were doing what was best for the company. We made sure to locate a target market and base our promotional tactics on what young and mature families want and need. We ensured that we did the right thing in the face of adversity, especially when concerning intercompany issues and product tampering. We wanted to make sure that we were selling great products that did their intended job at a fair price, and made sure our products were easily accessible to consumers. Key success factors to ensure that Allstar brand is on the right track are keeping prices reasonable, offering a fair volume discount to distributors, make coupons and advertisement easily accessible to consumers and allocating the budget to where it needs to be. Allstar brands currently does not have a children’s cough medicine and releasing one may result in many positive possibilities for the company. Our target market is young and mature families, and this target market very likely has small children that could use a cold medicine specifically for their age group. We could introduce a cough medicine for children all while maintaining focus on the same market segmentation. Price: Do not alter price too much and maintain an edge over the competition. Monitor what competitors are charging and align your pricing strategy to theirs. Promotion: Keep an eye on how much of the budget you are allocating to promotion. Make sure that coupons and discounts are available to consumers but mind how much money you are spending to do so. Explore promotional tools through the use of social media further to maintain a competitive spot in a growing market
