This paper offers the strategy scheme of student learning centre by making use of e-learning and blog. E-learning has changed the phenomenon of learning become placeless, boarderless and timeless. One of the most desired characteristics of an e-learning system is personalization, as people with different skill sets use the system [1]. Furthermore, internet-based distance learning has typically been asynchronous, multimedia enhanced, and learner centred/directed [2]. Major benefits of e-learning included the ease of access to resources, and the provision of central area for students to access to find information or comprehensive resources pertaining to each module [3]. And some characteristics of resources that may promote changes in e-learning practice [22]. But less researches involve institutions regulation, and competition as important aspect in conducting blended learning environment and related to economic aspect. Figure 1. Blended e-Learning scheme The combination of these two media provides center environment for student learning. E-learning is the activity where the learning atmosphere involved lecturers and students. Lecturers are able to disseminate the knowledge (learning materials) to the students. On the other hand, students also able to participate in learning scenario, submit their assignments, give comments, or discuss with their colleagues. The rest of this paper will discuss methods (section 2), discussions (section 3), and conclusions (section 4).
An e-Learning environment will provide a framework and a set of tools, however, by themselves they are not more likely to facilitate your teaching and the students' learning than the filing cabinet in which you keep your lecture notes.
Distance learning, sometimes called e-learning, is a formalized teaching and learning system specifically designed to be carried out remotely by using electronic communication. People could find out distance learning on the internet or searching form the school, sometimes teachers would introduce the best or the most credibility distance learning web. Such as class.com and University of Phoenix, etc. Distance learning is less expensive and is not constrained by geographic considerations; it offers opportunities in situations where traditional education has difficulty operating. Students with scheduling or distance problems can benefit, as can employees, because distance education can be more flexible in terms of time and can be delivered virtually anywhere. Under the unified leadership of the distance learning education, the modern distance learning education work gradual increase the number of school has now reached a certain scale. The last, the future of the new technology’s existence in the educational system will not be optimistic. The authors discussed the new technology change and update fast, that could cause the negative effect to students and teachers. They still prefer to use the “old technology” in learning and teaching . I agree with their concept because China had a big problem about using technology, and I studied in China several years. In China, the understanding of the new technology is so ignorant because of the poor education, shortage of technology. In education, the teachers and students do not understand how to use the computer technology to improve their teaching and learning rapidly. In short, understanding of the new technology and application skills are more important to adjust educational system in developing countries.
The combination of education and technology has been considered the main key to human progress. Education feeds technology, which in turn forms the basis for education. (Fodje, M. The impact of technology to education in developing countries. International Conference for Technology in Education, Tampa 1999. Retrieved August 6, 2011.) Technology allowed students to break their physical limit to access any knowledge which made their academic years richer and their achievement easier, as SMART Technologies EMEA (Education), illustrated in this video, (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFwWWsz_X9s, Uploaded on Oct 3, 2011).
Technology is a key element in the world today. It plays an important role in almost everything. Education is no exception to this; technology has been present in education for many years now. The purpose of this paper is to discuss why education is better with the addition of technology. More importantly, I am talking about this so that my audience will become more aware of how technology supports what is being done in education.
The combination of knowledge management and electronic learning is a response to this challenge. The use of information and communication technologies as teaching and learning tools is now rapidly expanding into education and e-learning is one of the most popular learning environments in the information age.
Using technology in education for the purpose of better understanding is a positive step taken by most of the schools, colleges and universities all around the world. Technology can play vital role in improving education systems. You can see electronic gadgets and computers being used in schools, colleges and universities. Audio visual tools are developed to teach complex topics to students in fun way. Faiza Abdur Rab, in her articles ‘Recreational Activities vs. Studies’ said that the lifestyle and education had become more competitive as science and technology is progressing (Rab, 2009). This is also helpful in improving the style and standards of living.
Finally, what we can say is that technology has changed today’s education like everything else, it has quite a lot of contemporary features and it also has some flaws. But it is certain that the emergence of technology assisted education, such as online learning, will open up the field more for the humanity to evolve, converge and progress, thus providing a large number of students with the benefits of technology in the field of education they could not never get it by conventional means.
With the advent of modern technology, a forceful impact of this technology has been observed in nearly all walks of modern day life. With the increasing access to these facilities, the lives of modern-day human beings have changed so dramatically that in many cases a reversal towards the old ways of life seems apparently impossible. Similar is the case with the process of education. In general the concept of e-learning has modified learning modes and behaviors to a much greater extent. It has...
Some of the advantages of digital learning are providing a flexible way of education from anytime, anywhere and any place where Internet connection and computers is accessible. It is also an affordable way of learning which reduces travelling cost for coming to classrooms. Students can take the exams and quizzes over the web; even they can submit assignments over the Internet. Instructors can provide all the materials online which in turn no cost for paper and printing. Ernst & Young University had 35% cost decrease because of virtual learning (Hall, 2000).
Technology has had a large impact on the field of education. The proliferation of multimedia resources and limitless amounts of information available through the Internet has fundamentally affected the learning process. Students no longer search through cards and stacks for magazine articles; almost everything is at the click of a finger. Multimedia resources are increasingly utilized in the classroom to help instruct students. Some professors are making conscious efforts to use new technology, so as to introduce and familiarize their students with it. The significance of technology in education is now being elevated to a new plateau. Education through the Internet, the great equalizer, may make it more widely distributed through the phenomenon of online courses. It is the thesis of this paper that online courses are not an effective means to educate traditional undergraduate college aged students (people from 18-22 years old).
This age is dedicated to more of learning age. It is said that even the teachers are the learner. This is the age of knowledge gradually shifted towards the age of communication. Thought and ideas are playing a crucial role in the present 21st century. The period when the denial and ignorance was the answer to the learner’s inquisitiveness has no solution. The answer to these questions is the technology which has solved problem to very much extend. People call such kind of change where teachers are supported with the technological tools to prove their worth. It does not say that previous centuries teachers were not efficient or they do not have that kind of knowledge. In the present time, the knowledge has got the support of the technology to explore. The learners are satisfying their requirements to the larger extend. The technological tool such as internet has shown great difference. The use of videos and photographs, 3D picture support, animations and documentaries and use of computers especially has changed the whole scenario. ICT have become commonplace entities in all aspects of life. Across the past twenty years the use of ICT has fundamentally transformed the practices and procedures of nearly all forms of exertion within business and governance. Education is a very socially focused activity and quality education has traditionally been connected with strong teachers having high degrees of personal contact with learners.
