They can look up systems of math on Khan Academy or an important person in history on history.com and many other history websites. And online research helps school because they are not force to buy the newest books. This helps student how to properly use resources that they found on the internet. Source reliabity is a huge issue that has to be taught. Knowing how to properly choose a source will help the students in life because in life one has to look at all the options and choose the best.
By doing this teaches can talk about what works in their classrooms and what did not. They can tell each other what activities the students liked and what activities that they did not. This helps them get new information and new ideas so the lessons are not the same and they can find variety on what is taught. Students are able to attain research for term papers/reports from the Internet. They are able to get more information on line in less time then it would take to go to the library; look up the books needed and read the books.
However, some people argue that this technology can serve as a distraction to the user and teacher as well. In this paper, with support from my experience and research, I will argue that technology is a useful tool in classrooms when used correctly. For example, according to Christopher Machielse in the article, “New Study Highlights 5 Benefits of Emerging Classroom Technology,” he states, “Internet technologies allow students to access information more quickly, without limiting students to just the resources available in the school’s library” (par.4). This urgent issue needs to be promoted to professors who do not use technology in their classrooms. Professors need to understand the power and benefits technology can have in teaching when added to their classroom.

The object/goal of online courses is for students to learn independently in the virtual environment without the “on-the-spot” help of the teacher. The indications are that involvement is a powerful means in the improvement in most of the aspects of undergraduates’ cognitive and affective development. In theory, the author believes online pedagogy would address the problem of students retreating to self-gratifying internet sites where they spend a great deal of time shopping online, chatting on social networks and playing online games.
With technology today a course’s complete curriculum can be set up and ready for students to follow with minimal interaction from an instructor. Quality of education presented online may be questioned. This can be due to a revolving set of the same information presented to students each semester with no new studies. Students not being stimulated by assignment cause students to lose interest in having more online time to study the class subject they are learning. Students may lack motivation without mentoring during a class.
They can wait until they have time to focus on school work to pull up the lesson for the day and study. Students who like a slower pace can also read through the notes as many times as they would like. Or they can watch videos and collect additional information on a topic in order to grasp a deeper understanding of a topic. The younger students might need this flexibility to help them be successful in college. Stripping the option of online courses from them their first semester might hurt their academic progress, rather than help
Not like the online class, if they have something to ask their professor, they need to make an appointment. Online class isn’t good on one thing that they can’t make friends like traditional class, they cannot ask their friends. My opinion is the students should take traditional class instead online class. If they cannot take traditional class for some reason, then they can take online class, but it’s not always a good idea for student to improve their knowledge because i have seen many students that always get a good grade when they took online class, but they are not really know about their lesson. Why did they get good grade?
I say this because I feel like I was able to use non-verbal communication pretty effectively to understand how my students felt about the material but I can also improve this my possibility adding in some instructional media to communicate with the student to improve learning. One goal that I have when I have my professional semester is that I want to use interactive technology and media to help my students communicate and learn effectively. This is important because in today’s digital world it’s very important that students know how to use technology to learn and to be able to communicate with others. The other goal I have as a future teacher is that I want to use non-verbal to understand my students’ knowledge and help them grow and have an understanding of all the material and because of this understand be able to see progress in their learning. With the technology we have today, it would seem to be a waste to not incorporate as much as possible into the communication process. With that said, I would set up a blind copy weekly e-mail, that would provide the parents with information regarding classroom assignments, projects, due dates, etc. With this, it allows the parents to know what is going on in the classroom and what is coming up. I do not believe that the e-mail will be limited to just those items I listed, but can be an ever evolving system. Also, this allows me to know when an e-mail address no longer works, and provides me the opportunity to contact that parent to get updated information and to touch base with them regarding the classroom and their child.
