Introduction: The pizza industry is fierce with competition. Domino's has been able to pave their way to the #2- pizza chain, leading the industry in delivery orders. With more than 12,500 delivery locations in about 80 countries. (The chain includes more than 5,000 stores throughout the US.) After enforcing a new social media system, we will be able to tend to our consumer wants and needs while communicating efficiently throughout the company. Over the past couple of decades, technology has taken the world by storm. In the past, we used medias such as newspapers, magazines, and radio. Now the world has evolved and branded us with social media. Social media is websites and applications that enable users to create and share content or to participate in social networking. Unlike mass media, social media has the ability to travel rapidly at high volume. Company background on the current use of social media: As of right now, Dominos is using social media solely for advertising. A promotion we heavily use is sales promotion emailing. These emails contain deals for the consumer, creates sales or consumer response, builds desire, and stimulates action. The proposition or offer gets the consumer to act. Although Taco Bell is not as large as other food chains, they still speak to over 9 million consumers across the world. We all know Taco Bell is the destination after a long night out. Their campaigns are not only funny but they are effective. Other than using social media for promotions, Taco Bell uses their platform to communicate and make them laugh.
