Habit 1: Be proactive
Summary: Take action in your life. Take responsibility for your actions in addition to prioritizing where you spend your time and energy. Proactive people focus on what they can control. Proactive people put their time and energy into their circle of influence.
Being proactive is an essential part of being successful as a college student. As a student I try and get my assignments done as soon as possible. A huge part of being proactive, is the ability to communicate effectively. Being proactive can help to provide order and alleviate some of the stress I deal with from being an athlete, athletic training hours, and schoolwork.

It is important to identify what my end goal is. Knowing what my end goal is for various aspects of my life helps me create goals that will lead me to my end goal. I think to myself what are some things that I can do daily to help guide me towards this goal. I think being organized can really help you identify what is important and not important.

Habit 3: Put first things first
Summary: Try to prioritize your life. Ask yourself what needs to be done first. Ask yourself what’s important and what is not important.
Prioritizing my life into what needs to be done first and what can wait is something I do everyday. I try to do the most important tasks I have to do ahead of time to alleviate stress. The less pressing tasks I still get done, but tend to take more time to do them. Time management is something that is extremely important in my life. I have to take into account when things need to be done by, so that I can plan when I am going to complete these tasks.
Habit 4: Win-Win
