Since the early 1700s school shootings have been a major issue in America. What exactly have we done to stop this from happening? Better yet, what can we all do to stop perpetrators from killing more innocent students? Something needs to be done! The one place were kids should feel safe has become one of the most dangerous places for them. The first school shooting I remember hearing about was at Columbine High School in Littleton Colorado in 1999, where 14 people were killed and 27 were wounded. About seven years later I met one of the survivors of the shooting, my English teacher, she was a freshman when it happened and hearing the story from her made me tear up.
