In “Research design Qualitative, Quantitative, and Mixed Methods approaches” by John W. Creswell has explained three different approaches to design research topics. According to the author to design any research topic you have to do first inquiries about the research topic. While doing this there is three important factor that one should keep in mind. The first is there any alternative claims on this topic, the second is which strategies to use to inquire and third is the methods that can be used. The paper also tells us each this step in more details. There are three methods to approach to the research and those are qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods. Using these methods researcher can translate his research into practice. To design …show more content…

In strategies associated with quantitative approach, there are two types experimental and surveys. The experimental approach is focused on experiments on randomly assigned subject whereas survey approach is focused on surveys designed using questions or with some set of questions. In qualitative approach is focused on ethnographies which are focused on collecting data in the natural environment. There is also grounded theory in quantitative approach in which researcher designs theory based on subjects which participated in the study. The case studies approach researcher focuses on some case and generates all the data that is possible. In phenomenological qualitative approach, research collects the data based on participant’s description of the phenomenon. The narrative approach in quantitative approach focused on stories of individuals which are narrated by the researcher. There are three strategies associated with the mixed methods approach. Mixed method approach is a combination of qualitative and quantitative approach. The first is a sequential procedure in which researcher produces findings based on some other research. The second approach is the concurrent approach in which researcher collects data from both quantitative and qualitative approach and provide a detailed analysis of the research topic. The last approach in mixed method transformative procedures in which …show more content…

This is very important and third step of research approach. There are three research methods quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods. The qualitative approach is focused on statistical data generated from observations and measurements. The second research method is the qualitative approach in which researcher use knowledge based claims to collect data from inquiries. The last one is mixed method approach in which researcher uses both qualitative and quantitative approach to generate research
