Whether Csun students should do the volunteer job or not, first students need to understand the meaning and values of volunteering job. Volunteering often allows students to get involved with new things and develop their social and academic skills that couldn’t be learned in a classroom environment. Sometimes volunteering allows students to experience different environments and situations. Often, volunteer jobs give a positive benefit to students in university to care for others no matter the age. It will be good for students of the California State University of Northridge to complete community service hours in order to graduate successfully because, every society is made up of people from different backgrounds,

In every society, there will be the rich, the middle class and the poor and the college students will be able to meet these people personally when they are involved in community service. For example, whatever type of service that the students are involved in whether helping the old age and retired people or helping out the homeless by joining organizations in feeding the homeless or cleaning up environments, it will take them out into the field among the different groups. While mixing with all types of people, students will be able to understand the real life problems that others have to deal with. They will be able to find strategies to share what they can. This will place the students in the proximity with various types of people and that will give them an opportunity to prove their worth and at the same time try to find ways and means of improving the situations in which they find the people who are actually in need of help. For example, one of my best friend Anna, who used to volunteer in a hospital has changed a lot since her experience and she never complains

For instance, Students who are involved in community service will have a variety of opportunities to offer their service. When they serve others, they can improve their qualities of tolerance and care for others. Also, this will help them in their future to understand their colleagues in the workplace and this will also reduce bias. Another example, when they complete something in community service, it will develop self-confidence, and satisfaction. The students who are involved in community service, even if it is an hour a week, they will have to study the community, plan and design how they would help them. By looking for options and solutions if they deal with any problem, they will always keep themselves active. They will never get bored but always be active. Also, they will be engaged in their work that they will not have time to complain about anything else. Again, looking at the people with a less economic situation, the students will be able to appreciate their lives and what they have. For example, I have a friend who used to be sad and felt alone most of the time. However, when she started volunteering for the Elderly hospital, she became cheerful and bright.
