Margaret Sanger once said, “No woman can call herself free who does not control her own body.” Abortion should be a personal choice; we are no one to judge women for their decisions. It is a right every women deserves, to make her own reproductive choice. Having the option to a safe abortion reduces many risks. Many say a fetus can feel pain when being aborted, but there is no way to prove it. An adoption isn’t the solution to abortion. Many abortions are conducted to prevent the fetus from living a problematic life due to abnormalities or defects. There are plenty of people with children that aren’t ready for parenthood and never will be, why bring a baby into a unstable environment if it’s not wanted? If men where the ones getting abortions, a few would be against it. Why is that? Women deserve the same rights that men do. Women deserve the power to make choices about their wellbeing.
Having the option to a safe and legal abortion reduces tremendous risks. Many women have turned to unsafe illegal ways abortion in countries were its banned. This increases the risks of death and long term health problems. Women have the right to a safe and legal abortion. Why make women turn to their last resource and put their life on risk with an unwanted pregnancy if we can just give them the option and rights they deserve.
