There are countless events that have shaped my life that I have reflected about. There have been challenges and obstacles at times throughout my life that were difficult to overcome at times. Notwithstanding these roadblocks, I confronted them head on by motivating myself and knowing that I can do anything I am determined to achieve. In a way, the challenges that I struggled with have helped me figure out what truly interests me. Overcoming my toughest challenge, though, has helped me to realize what's genuinely important and what I want to do in the future. One of the most pressing challenges I have ever faced was communication. This set me back since people who didn't know me thought I was reserved when I was just not comfortable meeting new people at the time. Gee, I knew she was going to be one of the best teachers I've had considering she always encouraged everyone and made learning fun. During that same time period, I also met my friend Dylan. The first time I met Dylan I knew he was unquestionably friendly and an occasionally humorous person. I didn't have any highlighters to use on a passage on a test, but before I considered looking for some, he pulled a couple out for me to borrow. It was something simple that I didn't expect and the main reason I started talking to him because it showed that he always had my back and was a caring person. He wasn't the only one that year and afterwards that motivated me, moreover, his brother Tyler noticed when I was feeling down, something others didn't notice as much. While this may seem trivial, I realized then that if I could become friends with people I hadn't thought of being friend with, I could accomplish whatever I dreamed of. After that, I volunteered to participate in the Relay for Life for the first time, became more involved in my classes, and made other friends that I still have
