I have traveled with my family many places we've been to Florida, Maryland, and Detroit. I have been to Florida on many occasions because I have family who lives there. I've been taking family trips to Florida every since I was like six years old. I've also went to the beach and Disney World. Every time we would go to the beach, I would only put my feet in the water because I'm not a good swimmer. Yet, It was really exciting in Disney World because of all the rides and the games. I got a chance to take pictures with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, etc. I really enjoyed that trip to Florida, in 2005, when we went to Disney World, and the funny thing is that my family and I were all dressed the same. I remember when I was 9 years old, being
What comes to mind when you hear the word adventure!!? Well there is a place in Florida that is guaranteed to bring out your inner kid every time you visit. This place is known as universal Orlando Florida. This is a place where you can go on vacation and have fun like never before as you did when you were a kid. On my visit to Orlando I stated at a four-star resort located inside the theme park known as Cabana Bay Beach Resort, also went to universal studios and islands of adventure were I felt like I was a kid again.
My name is Kelsey and I am 22 years old. I live in the Florida panhandle and have been going to Walt Disney World since I was six years old. I was raised into a family that is incredibly loyal to the Disney brand; we still try and go as a family at least once a year. Now that I am engaged, my fiancé and I have started our own annual tradition, and will hopefully be married there.
The day of my grandparents had told me they have been wanting to go to the Florida Keys and asked if I would like to join. So of course i wanted to go. Oh and when they told me i could bring a friend along i was jumping with happiness inside. They told me we would be going for a couple weeks and they had all expenses covered. So that day I started talking to Jamie and asking her when she would be back, because at that time she was in Florida visiting family. She had told me she would be back . So i asked her is she would like to join me and take a trip to the Keys with me. I could tell she was so excited when i asked her because she texted me back all in caps and said “CALL ME”. So i called her to let her know all of the details. So she ended up getting back .So when she got back from Florida we went to Walmart and bought a lot of
The first thing I heard was Virginia Beach vacation, and then in excitement I ran and got my stuff and started to pack. The part I was most excited about was that the hotel is a beachfront hotel room.I was so excited because I love the beach and I really wanted to go back to the beachfront hotel and stay there. I went there when I was in second grade. I have gotten to go there a few times since second grade, but I did not get to stay there overnight.
My memory of strolling up and down St. George Street in St. Augustine is more than just a cherished flashback, it’s the start of a new life. Prior to moving to Florida, both of my parents were in the Navy, resulting in our family having to move all around the East Coast frequently. When it was revealed that we would finally settle down in Florida, our first visit would be none other than the oldest city in the United States, St. Augustine. This memory of St. Augustine is so important to me because it piqued my interest in history, it gave me a chance to spend time with my mom, and I was able to witness my first sunset.
Disney world, Paris, Australia, Italy; all amazing places I’m sure, but I’ve never been. Although there is one place I have been to; it was none other than Blackpool Pleasure Beach!
The longest I’ve ever lived in one place was the nine years that my family and I lived in
This past summer, my family and I went on a cruise to the Bahamas. We had just docked at the second port, Nassau, and were preparing to exit the gigantic ship named the Carnival Fantasy. Once we got to the city, I noticed it was bustling with people of all different backgrounds and cultures. The roads were narrow and some even hilly. I remember coming to the conclusion that a lot of people in the Bahamas must have road rage what from the blaring car horns I could hear around every corner. My family and I were walking along the sidewalk, glancing into shops as we passed them. The weather was unbearably hot, but growing up in South Carolina allowed my family and I to push onward with our adventure. The sun burn on my back started to pulsate in pain any time the sunlight hit it, so we decided to stick to the side of the buildings that provided shade.
Here we are, packing in the nice, warm, mellow sun. The sweet-scented flowers of May are blooming. The huge amount of supplies goes into the back of our big, white van. Everyone’s face has a sincerely eager smile. I look at my mom’s smile, and I can swear that it’s as open as a crocodile’s. We’re taking a family trip down to Florida.
The time that I made an “unexpected” friend was during a summer road trip with my family to Ocean Shores. This took us about two days to get there with stops in between. I remember watching the horizon getting closer as my Dad continued to drive towards the coast. While watching the clouds change from darkness to raining, and see the sun in another area at the same time. The clouds seem to make animal shapes and I would watch them traveling along with us. We would also, play games like I spy and take turns as my sister; who would ask, “Are we there yet?”
In my life I have had the opportunity to travel to seventeen states and thirteen foreign countries, each providing a new insight on the world and the people who inhabit it. It is a rare and precious opportunity to get a glimpse into the lives of so many different groups of people: every one having a different language, even if it is just a change in dialect, a unique history, a different appearance, a culture of their own, and the experience is invaluable. Aside from a short trip to Banff I can hardly remember, my first vacation was to Disney World. It was a gift from my grandparents that ultimately lasted around nine years. I have a hard time remembering exact details from the trip, I was only four years old, but I distinctly remember the magic that I felt walking through the parks.
My sophomore year of high school, I went to Disney World with the band and it was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Every other year the band usually goes on big trip to somewhere, for example, like on a cruise or to New York or something. I had never been to Disney World before, so I knew this was something I would have to endeavor upon. Honestly, the only bad part of the trip was the ride there and the ride back. Unfortunately, it was a nine hour drive to Orlando so it literally took FOREVER to get up there.
In summer July 19, 2015 my whole family visited three beaches. We planned to go to only one beach in Florida. Since our family has not traveled this unfamiliar place we got lost. After that a beach appeared right around the corner behind the trees. Although it was not the beach we expected, it was surrounded with old buildings.
My Magical Trip Two years ago, over winter break, I went to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The whole trip was wonderful and memorable, but the first day will always be memorable. It took my family almost two whole days on the long drive from our house to Florida. We passed through South Carolina and Georgia until we finally crossed the border into Florida. Florida was the most interesting state to drive through, palm trees lined the sides of the roads and every so often a scenic landscape would lie just outside the car windows.
When I was a young child I would love to hear my parents tell me that we were going on a trip. I would be full of excitement, because I knew that we would be going to a place that I had never seen before. My parents, my brother, and I would pack our luggage and venture out in our small gray minivan. Three of my most cherished memories in our minivan are when we went to Disney World, the beach, and the mountains.
