Personal Narrative: My Trip To Disney World

In my life I have had the opportunity to travel to seventeen states and thirteen foreign countries, each providing a new insight on the world and the people who inhabit it. It is a rare and precious opportunity to get a glimpse into the lives of so many different groups of people: every one having a different language, even if it is just a change in dialect, a unique history, a different appearance, a culture of their own, and the experience is invaluable. Aside from a short trip to Banff I can hardly remember, my first vacation was to Disney World. It was a gift from my grandparents that ultimately lasted around nine years. I have a hard time remembering exact details from the trip, I was only four years old, but I distinctly remember the magic that I felt walking through the parks. Something about being there makes me feel happier than just about anywhere else. Eventually we made the decision to stop our yearly trips in favor of visiting new places and learning new things, leaving behind our amazing memories before we became bored of the same sights and experiences. …show more content…

As we grew up, our trips grew with us; they became more focused on history and learning, though this does not seem very appealing to most seven and ten year olds, it was fascinating for us. My love for travel only grew from there and became even stronger after our trip to London, Edinburgh, and Paris. It was the spring break of my fifth grade year when we traveled across the Atlantic Ocean for the first time, at the time it felt crazy but the eight hour plane ride to Europe has become almost second nature at this point.
