Pediatrician is the career that i would like to pursue because i would like to be a child's physician. I want to be able to provide health care for children healthy and ill. I want to be the one to be there when a child is sick or just need a check up. And also make an impact on a child's life in the process. Pediatricians get to take care of children and provide “health maintenance” for them and manage their physical, mental and emotional well-beings of their patience. They not only take care of just children but babies, teens, and young adults from birth to age 21.

The basic skills you'll need to have for this career would be reading comprehension, active listening, writing, speaking, science, critical thinking, active learning, learning strategies, monitoring and math, you would also need transferable skills which would include diagnosing diseases and disorders, giving health care instructions, giving injections, investigating data to solve problems, treating physical and mental problems and many more, workplace skills would include judgement and decision making, social perspectives, instructing, time management,persuasion, service orientation and many more. Being a pediatrician would be a very interesting career choice that i always wanted to be. I like that i would be a physician for children and help them when they need a doctor. I just don't want to be a pediatrician in an clinic but a real hospital in chicago so that i can be proud of myself and say that one day i made an impact on someone's life.
