Some individuals believe in making all the decisions without having to consult anyone. The style, in this case, becomes dictatorial since the decisions made have to be accepted without being challenged. There are those who value the opinions of others and believe that everyone can contribute something when it comes to making decisions. Decisions made based on logic are more analytical because they look at the facts while those made out of judgment are usually rapid and are determined by the situation that one encounters. Judgment decisions do not require careful analysis. Instead, they need one to use intuition to determine the right thing that needs to be done. Some managers and individuals postpone making decisions when they are not sure what the outcomes of these decisions might be. These individuals spend more time trying to gather information that will help them make better decisions instead of using the knowledge they already have. However, decisions have to be made in the end even if these people do not like it. Since making decisions is not easy, some issues may hinder effective decision-making. For instance, having little information or too much information can make one have difficulty in deciding what course of action to take. When there are too many people involved in the making of a decision, it becomes difficult because of the different views put across. It is important to address these issues for the decisions to be more efficient. Making decisions is not easy and can be done from a logical or intuitive point of view depending on the timeline that one has.
